Just wanted to tell the group that I went to the LA County Fair yesterday 9/11/16, and the handmade artist exhibit room exceeded my expectations. The rugs made by the Guild were displayed in groups by season, or by color groupings. There were little vignettes that were put together with a sense of design. Ribbons were won! I hope others from the Guild will visit the Fair – there still is time! Saw a couple of the Welcome mats, too!

Guest relations booth has a map and the people manning the booth can point you to the exhibit building. There is someone at a desk inside that can give you the cabinet number if you know the artist’s name and you can go right to item and take a look! Carole Nobile

ON A PERSONAL NOTE: THERE ARE NO EVENTS THAT CAN POSSIBLY BE SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT WILLING HANDS. IT WAS ESPECIALLY EVIDENT AT THE 11TH ANNUAL HARVEST HOOKIN OCTOBER 8TH! CHAPTER MEMBERS STEPPED UP TO WORK AS NEVER BEFORE. SUCH A WILLING ATTITUDE AND MEMORABLE DAY COULD AND WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ACHIEVED WITHOUT TREVA, JUDY A., BONNIE, KAREN B, DORA, PATRICIA, MARIANNE, JAMES, JANELLE, NANCY AND I APOLOGIZE IF I’VE LEFT ANYONE OUT!!!! WE SINCERELY MISSED ALL THOSE MEMBERS WHO COULD NOT ATTEND AND HOPE THEY CAN JOIN WITH US NEXT TIME!
