CHAPTER OF ATHA (ASSOCIATION OF TRADITIONAL HOOKING ARTISTS)
March 18, 2017
“We turn not older with years, but newer every day.” Emily Dickinson
|March Program: It’s time for the event you’ve been waiting for! WOOL BINGO ! Bring a 3×12” piece of wool for each card you wish to play! Fast and furious with a chance to win wool!!
We missed Donna Nino last month (due to rain) but she says she was just building up anticipation for a fun dying experience at our March meeting! She’s been trying new dying ideas at home and can’t wait to have fun with us and do some ‘dabbling’ with dyes!
Chapter Outing: Sunday, March 19th…Join us at the Sheep Shearing event at 123 Farms in Beaumont. It’ll feature a demo of how the sheep are freed from their winter woolies. We’ll also see what happens to the fleece once it leaves the sheep (washing, carding, dyeing, and spinning) AND get the chance to meet the sixty lambs born recently. The event is from 11 am to 2 pm. Please talk to Sandra Grasso if you’re interested in meeting up for breakfast before the event and going as a group.
$$Membership Dues$$: If you’ve not paid your annual $15 chapter dues, please bring cash or check to the March 18 meeting (Jennie Reece will collect) or mail to Treva Dornaus at 2536 Harrison St, Riverside, CA 92503. Members who haven’t paid by the end of March will be removed from our mailing/membership list!
